Caroline Maby was born on the 5th of March, 1973 in Saint-Malo, North coast of Brittany, France.
She raised between industrial surroundings, beats of the commercial port and the mighty power of the littoral.
She has always been painting, lonesome and inspired by these areas, by her deep love of mystic Brittany and its legend, by her fascination for the mineral, green and marine Orders prevailing here.
High sea fishing, ocean race, myths, water and northern landscapes are recurrent themes in her work.
Talking about Maby artwork is evocating her large formats paintings, her fractal constructions and interconnected universes. It is telling you her passion for colour perceived as an emotional charge, her conscientious work of pigments and her huge respect of ancestral techniques.
Painting definitely fulfils her wish to share and to give.
She would dream to be a guide who could make creation easier, catalyse emotions and appeal introspection.
Interactivity is an access point.
It is the reason why, in parallel to her traditional work in the atelier, she leads an experimental and technological research about interactivity in Art. Thanks to her association Art Live ®, she developed the digital project Mind Art® which blends live events and web innovations.
My Art Becomes Yours! is her leitmotiv.
Use it, perform it and appropriate it by living the Mind Art ® Experience!
She is actually aiming to use Mind Art ® as a new tool of collective or individual creation for people in difficulty, especially in psychiatric hospitals or prisons where she uses to make happenings as an artist.
Caroline Maby is living and working in Saint-Malo.
